Work Schedule: Monday-Friday days (nights/weekends as needed). Heavy travel required, mostly in the Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina Region.

Pay Range: Commensurate to experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee several sites and site supervisors to ensure tasks are completed Safely, Accurately, Efficiently and Effectively, while driving results for Safety, Quality, Production, Retention, Employee and Customer Relationships.
  • Ensures that the sites they oversee have the necessary tools, support, and assurances to drive customer service and HSSE performance that meets or exceeds PSC Group and Customer expectations.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities necessary to establish clear directions to a Site Supervisor, setting priorities, ensuring the work is laid out in a well-planned manner, and that that workload is distributed appropriately, and in an organized efficient manner.
  • Will be a part of or lead new customer start-ups.
  • Maintains a two-way dialogue with the Site Supervisors and Customers, on priorities, work and results, while building effective relationships.
  • Responsible for setting clear objectives, measuring and monitoring processes, progress, and results in the areas of Mobile Railcar Mover and Locomotive Operations, Switching Operations, Track Maintenance, Liquid Loading, and Unloading; Tank Car and Tank Truck, Warehouse Operations; Forklift, Totes, Pails Drums, etc., Packaging Operations and Packaging Equipment, and other areas that might be assigned, ensuring procedure adherence and best practices are followed.
  • Works closely with the training and compliance leader to ensure we have strong training processes, procedures, and other support to align with our customer requirements.
  • Completes required paperwork, reports, and safety observations.
  • Communicates with site leadership, team members and customer contacts on a frequent and deliberate frequency.
  • Understands all customer processes, the key stakeholders, and IT platforms required to complete the work.
  • Proactively monitors operations working with supervisors and managers to close gaps and improve processes.
  • Drives the engagement in all facets of plant operations and developing our team members at all levels.
  • Providing support and oversight of our operations working closely with our regional managers / leadership.
  • Providing direction, support, and being an extension of the operations manager on day-to-day support.
  • Attend customer audits and support training and compliance leader on various projects and driving assurance of key programs at all facilities.
  • Completes other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
  • Driving key PSC and Customer work processes, procedures, and working collaboratively with our Training and Compliance Leader and Operational Excellence Team.
  • Customer Focused / Solutions based leader
  • Ability to travel in the Southeast Region and other regions as directed, supporting current operations and other start-up functions for existing and new customers.

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Experience in or with Mobile Railcar Movers and Locomotive Operations, Switching Operations, Track Maintenance, Liquid Loading, and Unloading; Tank Car and Tank Truck, Warehouse Operations; Forklift, Totes, Pails Drums, etc., Packaging Operations and Packaging Equipment, is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Servant Leadership mindset supporting our teams and leaders in the field, removing barriers and driving a safety-first culture.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with front line field employees, leadership, customers/
  • Must be a hands-on leader with the ability to be in the field and have credibility with various loading functions, plant operations, and equipment.
  • Solutions based leader working with all stakeholders to develop and implement action plans.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • A valid Driver’s License required
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug and alcohol, physical, and background checks
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
