Responsibilities
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $74,340 - $116,820. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.

Overview

Responsibilities
- Maps data to User Interface production designs and process specifications to ensure that data objects are architected correctly.
- Cross checks business requirements to ensure the compatibility and comprehensiveness of models and requirements for application development projects. Takes corrective action with responsible teams when issues are found.
- Leads or participates in data requirements inspections and reviews to ensure that final products are consistent with business requirements and designers understand the proposed data constructs.
- Independently seeks and identifies relevant facts or patterns within data relevant to current business objectives.
- Works collaboratively with developers and database administrators to integrate data requirements into system designs to ensure that designs meet user requirements for functionality and performance. Assesses the impacts of design decisions on business functionality so that informed decisions can be reached.
- Profiles data to identify discrepancies and anomalies within and across databases. With business data owners, determines whether cleansing is required. Identifies and documents cleansing rules if necessary.
- May be identified as the data tools administrator to ensure that data products and cleansing tools are managed and updated appropriately. In this role, acts as primary interface to vendor to report problems and follows up through resolution. Mentors less experienced staff to ensure their success on assigned projects upon request.
- Work in sync with Data Engineering team by managing the external stakeholders in order to maximize the impact and success of projects. Additionally, help identify gaps in requirements and documentation during planning or requirements gathering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science - Preferred
- 1 years of experience in Data analysis or Related field. Experience with SQL based databases (Oracle and SqlServer).
- Experienced using SQL query language.
- Experience with workflow management - ie Jira, Smartsheet
- Experience with Snowflake or Databricks - Preferred
