General duties: This position incorporates Instructional System Design (ISD) processes into instruction and curriculum development at the 319th Combat Training Squadron, Peterson SFB CO. This position will: work collaboratively in a team environment across space operations, intelligence, cyberspace, and force modernization disciplines to support the spiral development of the USSF Officer Training Course (OTC); develop, maintain, and teach in Initial Qualification Course (IQC) for onboarding instructors; and develop and maintain a faculty professional development program that promotes continued education and support for instructor learning.

Required Experience:

Specific duties:

Design And Develop Training With The Following Attributes:

  • Provide classroom instruction consistent with ISD satisfying government training requirements
  • Coordinate development and design of media used in the lessons created by the Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Research existing course content and propose new or updated course materials, which apply best practices and principles of learning
  • Design and develop lessons, certification criteria, exercises, case studies, briefings, testing, feedback evaluations, and other learning activities in support of the Instructor Qualification Course (IQC)
  • Conduct Quality Inspections and informal observations of contractor instructors, providing constructive feedback and positive support of the instructor professional development program
  • Review and evaluate 319 CTS course control documents and courseware (e.g., lessons, student documentation, exercises, case studies, briefings, testing, and other learning activities) to ensure it complies with the 319 CTS Curriculum Development Guide
  • Coordinate ISD activities with the division chief, training managers and government training personnel
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Possess working knowledge and experience with designing new lesson plans, re-designing existing lesson plans, and updating courses
    • Demonstrated experience conducting curriculum needs assessment
    • Possess working knowledge and experience with faculty development and instructional coaching
    • Demonstrated experience with current learning models, educational psychology, research theories, backward design, and technologies and innovations in the field of learning
    • Possess working knowledge and experience designing classroom instruction, self-paced training, and blended courses
    • Demonstrated experience working on and managing instructional design projects
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
    • Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required
Required Experience:

  • Masters degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, and additional experience in educational or training programs that include planning and delivering instruction in accordance with an ISD model and training records keeping
  • At least 5 years teaching experience at the high school or undergraduate level.

Education:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Masters degree or 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirement

Travel: Yes-10%

Security Clearance: Active or current Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required

In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $110,000 to $115,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
