Senior Insights Analyst

Casey’s is growing their Analytics Center of Excellence and looking for passionate individuals to drive insights to action across our analytical pillars - Business Insights & Analytic Solutions. This role will have the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled and cross-functional team to deliver strategic outcomes to a variety of business areas using data, technology, and analytical reasoning. 

As a Senior Insights Analyst, you will partner closely with business partners, leaders, and data platform engineers to collaboratively deliver meaningful insights and analysis. You will perform and present analytical findings to all levels of the organization. The Senior Insight Analyst will be a well-known leader on the team - coaching and supporting junior team members and the other Community of Analysts. You will provide leadership and stewardship of all Center of Excellence Analytical tools such as MarketDial (Test&Learn Platform) and Placer.Ai (Geo-spatial / foot traffic patterns). Will work with spoke Analysts to standardize and make repeatable, reproducible analytical frameworks for marketing, category management, fuels, supply chain, operations, etc.

 

Responsibilities

• Consults and determines desired analytical solution delivery to meet business objectives and desired outcomes. Examples include statistical testing, casual analysis, trend/anomaly detection, among others. Coaches and collaborates with associate and experienced team members.
• Performs descriptive, diagnostic, and prescriptive analysis through various techniques to story-tell, present, and operationalize analytical findings.
• Leads Test & Learn Committee meetings to maintain and coordinate concurrent tests. Sets up tests within Marketdial, educates business users of how to interact with platform, presents report-outs in timely manner.
• Influences direction and contributes to advancing analytical capabilities & platforms, data analytic literacy, governance, and data-driven culture across the organization.
• Provides coaching to the Community of Analysts across the business while building and maintaining a relationship with various stakeholders.

This role does not allow for 100% remote work. Qualified out of state candidates must be willing to relocate and will need to live within a daily commutable distance of Casey's Store Support Center in Ankeny, IA and be willing to work onsite 5 days a week.

Compensation

Starting pay range:‏‏‎ ‎$101,700‏‏‎ ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$139,800.‏‏‎ ‎ Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for annual cash bonuses based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the typical hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• At least five (5) years prior work experience as an Insights or Data Analyst is required.
• Problem-solving, analytical, and statistical skills to tackle complex challenges around data analysis and business intelligence delivery.
• Understanding of statistical methods and techniques to deliver diagnostic and descriptive analytic use cases.
• Ability to indirectly lead & collaborate between team members and business partners to deliver compelling insights.
• Ability to work with various and disparate data sources as well as data storage technologies to create analytical ready datasets.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
• Attention to accuracy and attention to detail.
  
  

Strong Knowledge & Experience

• Data extraction, modeling, transformation, statistical and business calculation languages. Examples include SQL, Power BI DAX/M, Python/PySpark or R.
• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence platforms, examples include: Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of data analytic cloud platforms, databases, and surrounding ecosystems (Databricks Preferred).
• Source Control & Documentation Tools. Examples include GitHub, Teams, and Confluence.
