About the Role
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing front-line technical assistance and support to end users across CES. This individual will work closely with the IT Manager to maintain a stable and efficient technological environment, supporting a wide range of systems including Proxmox, Microsoft 365, and specialized design software.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues company-wide (in person, phone, and remote).
- Assist with Microsoft 365 applications, user account setup, and troubleshooting.
- Support and maintain virtual machines in a VM environment.
- Track, log, and resolve support tickets using tools such as Atera, escalating issues when necessary.
- Perform workstation imaging, software installations, and basic system administration.
- Assist in maintaining IT documentation, knowledge base, and user guides.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to support ongoing technology initiatives.
- Manage new hire account set up and assist in new hire orientation.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related technical role
- Hands-on experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and support
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide excellent customer service
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with Autodesk applications (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Basic networking knowledge (switches, firewalls, wireless)
- Experience supporting professional services or engineering environments
Soft Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Bilingual, English and Spanish a plus
Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus)
- Associate of Science degree
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- Any CompTIA Certification (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+)
Pay range and compensation package
Negotiable based on experience level relative to the position in the range of $60k-$65k
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional after-hours support as needed for urgent issues or scheduled maintenance.
