The Social Media Specialist is responsible for supporting our business' key growth priorities and bringing them to life across our social media channels. You will work across the organization and businesses to support, collaborate, develop and publish both organic and limited paid content for our UnitedHealth Group-owned social media channels, as well as own and report on our social media analytics.
From supporting a charted course for an enterprise center of excellence in social media to working directly with internal clients and leadership to build out content that connects to our audiences, you will be at the center of everything we do in social media.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and own our social media analytics and reporting
- Support partnerships to ensure deadlines, deliverables and outcomes are met
- Proactively build effective relationships and positive communication with business leaders to develop content that aligns to our key growth priorities
- Always maintaining the social media channel's brand health
- Actively seek out opportunities for social media content and campaigns, write copy, create the creative and route for approvals
- Actively monitor our social media performance and maintain quarterly benchmarking and best practices day to day
- Engage with comments and employee communication across all social media platforms to maintain a solid and engaged community presence
- Monitor social media alerts and escalate/work across teams to mitigate crisis
- Build graphics within Canva from working templates
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in project management and/or execution of content or advertising projects
- 1+ years of paid social media experience
- Journalism, public relations, marketing, advertising experience
- Proven solid writing skills
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Proven ability to communicate across teams to coordinate efforts on social media
- Proven excellent consultative, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to be detail-oriented, fast learner, willing to learn new skills
- Experience with measurements and metrics, particularly within the social media vertical
- History of effectively driving results in a dynamic, matrixed environment with high degree of organizational change and comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to champion continuous change and consult with versatility
- Skills in graphic design and/or history working with creative platforms like Canva
- Experience working in social media publishing and analytics tools like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.
