What You’ll Get To Do

The Material Handler 1 is focused on handling ready-to-install glass material as it goes through the tempering process and reports to the Furnace 2 Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who possesses great attention to detail, physical stamina, and has the ability to work with a team. A vital member of the Furnace 2 Department this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Lift and arrange glass on/off the conveyor.
• Work with a partner to properly and safely load and unload glass from the machine.
• Use a computer system to input the proper operation for glass tempering and enter production data.
• Complete daily worksheets.
• Inspect all glass for defects such as chips, bubbles, scratches, blown holes, proper edgework, etc
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Basic computer knowledge to review work orders, enter data, and print documents.
• Ability to read and perform calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
