The Director, Integrated Pharmacy Services, provides oversight for the performance and development of pharmacy services which directly support patient care service lines within the ACO. The scope of these services includes, but is not limited to, in-clinic/ambulatory pharmacy services, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) pharmacy consultative oversight, medication procurement, and contract negotiations/management. Oversight activities include the successful financial, clinical, and regulatory management of the businesses under the Director's purview. The position will work closely with the Kelsey Pharmacy Services team to optimize clinic performance through collaboration with Infusion Pharmacy, Consumer Pharmacy, and Specialty Pharmacy services. The Director of Integrated Pharmacy Services is responsible for managing all pharmacy-related technologies under their purview, including automated dispensing cabinets, inventory management systems, ERP systems, point-of-sale systems, contract management, and other technologies as they are introduced. The Director actively participates in the analysis & negotiation of pharmaceutical contracts, pharmaceutical wholesaler contracts, medical supply contracts, and other business-related activities to advance the triple aim, which is at the core of what Kelsey-Seybold strives for. The director collaborates with other departments within the organization to provide pharmacy law and regulatory expertise, ensuring that Kelsey Pharmacy Services meets the organization's needs.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Pharmacy
  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of Texas, or eligibility to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire
  • 8+ years of progressive management experience in a hospital, ambulatory, GPO, and/or clinical setting, including responsibility for strategic planning, budget development/monitoring, and personnel management
  • Experience with AAAHC or Texas Department of Health (TDH) surveys
  • Solid knowledge of current trends in the pharmacy field with the ability to leverage pharmacy expertise to improve quality, safety, patient experience, and financial performance
  • Proven advanced knowledge of Texas State Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulatory standards
  • Proven knowledge of quality management principles with demonstrated success in leading Performance Improvement teams
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science (MS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Large-scale project management experience
  • Experience in pro forma development
  • Experience in Accountable Care Organization (ACO) integrated pharmacy models
  • Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) consulting experience
  • Functional understanding of current trends in pharmaceutical contracting, with a focus on value-based care
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record systems
  • Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy contracting expertise
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver presentations to C-suite leadership
  • Proven solid analytical and data interpretation skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
