Accent Countertops, founded in 1985, provides fabrication and installation of granite, quartz, and solid surface countertops. Located in Murray, Utah and Reno, Nevada, Accent fabricates out of a 40,000 sq ft facility with state-of-the-art equipment in Murray and services the Reno market from their sales and installation facility in Reno. Thirty-five years of quality service has established Accent Countertops as a local leader in countertop design and installation.

Our Corporate Office in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an experienced and qualified Controller.

This position plays an important role in the US Operations Team and is directly accountable to the CEO for all financial accounting and reporting needs. The successful candidate will interact frequently with management, division Accounting Managers, and the operational teams to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all reporting. The role will also be responsible for providing training, mentorship and guidance to the accounting team and interrelated branches to develop and implement policies and strategies to ensure data accuracy and risk mitigation.

We are looking for a trustworthy, detailed, strategic, organized, self-motivated, collaborative leader and team player who takes pride in their work and is committed to fostering strong relationships. The successful candidate will have a strong finance and accounting background and will need a dynamic and effective communication style to lead multifunction teams towards the same goal. During peak periods, this position will also work to support the accounting team as required.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Professional Accounting Designation CPA (CA, CGA or CMA) considered an asset
• 3 to 5 years in a supervisory role managing teams
• Minimum of 5 years of related accounting and financial analysis experience required
• Exceptional computer skills with Excel and Microsoft Office and QuickBooks

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and respect
• Ability to train, mentor and develop employees

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead, Manage and Accountability for the finance team
• Schedule and run the month-end closing process in accordance with the timelines set

• Understand, monitor, and improve business processes to ensure accurate and timely

• Prepare detailed data analysis for the operating branches
• Interpret and analyze corporate financial performance
• Variance analysis of financial results against budget
• Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Establishes and maintains appropriate internal control safeguards
• Manage and co-ordinate year end audit for the division companies
• Manage the accounting integration of acquisitions
• Assist various functions by providing financial analysis related to those functions
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility in handling multiple diverse projects at
