Program & Location: Administration Office, New Bedford, MA

Education: Bachelor’s degree required in human services, health care field, management, business, or other related field

Pay Range: $66,560 - $108,160 (Education & experience dependent)

Status: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm

About Us

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to prevent and treat substance use and mental health disorders. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Director Of Quality Requirements

  • Ability to evaluate quality of participant care and outcomes
  • Excellent analytical and leadership skills
  • Ensures interdisciplinary approach to Quality Assessment and Risk Management
  • Knowledge of ASAM criteria
  • Must present as courteous and professional at all times
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of participants
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in a logical and clear fashion
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO's electronic medical records
  • Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner
  • An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs
  • An understanding of boundaries and ethics
  • Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations
  • A thorough knowledge of working with healthcare data, patient databases and other digital strategies to provide a deep insight into the functions of an organization

Director Of Quality Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development & use of data systems and reporting to ensure information flows accurately and efficiently from within the organization to external stakeholders;
  • Utilize a specialized knowledge base to enhance the organizations methods of service delivery through data management and process improvements strategies;
  • Responsible for improvement standards associated with DPH, BSAS, HCQ, Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC and other regulatory and accrediting bodies;
  • Ensure performance measures are used to determine whether implemented changes produce desired outcomes;
  • Establish reporting formats for presentation of Quality Improvement projects and Risk Management assessments;
  • Conduct validation audits of High Point’s Quality Assessment Reporting process, meet with departmental manager to review findings and develop improvement plans;
  • Identify risk and potential process failures in all organizational areas including but not limited to; participant care, personnel and visitors, as well as financial risks through utilization review, billing, litigation, loss or theft;
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and strict adherence to a quality program including development and/or review of standards, policies, and procedures for all functions and departments involved with the quality program;
  • Receive and review all customer satisfaction surveys;
  • Prepare reports and other documentation required by regulatory agencies and to support the quality function;
  • Travel between HPAO sites, as needed;
  • Provide direct supervision to the Quality Coordinator

Director Of Quality Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in human services, health care field, management, business, or other related field;
  • Working Knowledge of quality system requirements;
  • Experience working in a healthcare related field preferred;
  • Experience working in an organization that addresses mental health and/or substance use services preferable;
  • Experience creating detailed reports and presenting information in a clear, concise manner;
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills;
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, project management and analytics software required.
