Job Summary:

The HR Director will play a key role in supporting the human resources functions of our skilled nursing facility here at Emerald Healthcare. This position involves assisting with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment:

Office setting within a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
    • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process. o Maintain and update job descriptions and employee handbooks.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
    • Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner. o Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence.
    • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
    • Coordinate with benefits providers and manage open enrollment periods.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including timekeeping and attendance.
    • Assist with audits and reporting as needed.
  • Training and Development:
    • Support ongoing training and development initiatives for staff.
    • Track and manage training records and certifications.
  • General HR Support:
    • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
    • Maintain HR databases and prepare reports on HR metrics.
    • Collaborate with management to support facility goals and objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Previous experience in an HR role, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software systems.
