Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, propulsion systems, and onboard electronics.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in boats and watercraft, providing accurate assessments and cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance, such as oil changes, battery checks, and replacing filters, to ensure boats are in optimal operating condition.
- Repair and replace damaged or malfunctioning parts, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Install and configure marine equipment, including GPS systems, navigation devices, radios, and other electronic systems.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding boat operation, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for each vessel serviced.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in marine equipment and repair.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Marine Technician or in a similar technical role in the marine industry.
- Strong knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software used in the marine industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to customers.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
- Marine Technician certification or equivalent training is preferred.
