Job Description

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Support the Banks strong everything matters culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.
  • Manage the Retail Banking staff to include scheduling, training, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
  • Identify new and existing customers’ financial service needs by listening, asking open-ended profiling questions, an asking for their business
  • Describe the features and benefits of the Bank’s services that may fill the customers’ financial service needs. Maintain detailed knowledge of deposit, loan, convenience, and non-deposit services by studying product information sheets, bulletins, and updates by attending periodic training sessions.
  • Ensure all documents are accurate and complete and verify the collectability of funds presented for deposit on all potential accounts.
  • Work as a liaison between Retail and Commercial Departments to open Business Deposit Relationships.
  • Make customer loan decisions based on current Consumer Lending Policy and based on current lending limits.
  • Responsible for branch facility including security and maintenance
  • Work in collaboration with Retail Banking Manager on Business Development initiatives and Community Involvement.

Required for this position: Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills. Excellent attention to detail, strong understanding of loan underwriting, ability to identify missing items, advanced organizational skills, ability to work under deadlines, independent thinking, the ability to visualize cause and effect relationships of data and documents, analytical skills, clear and concise reporting, self-motivation, strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrated teamwork as well as leadership ability.

Education And Experience

  • 4 year college degree or related work experience
  • 2 years lending or previous sales experience
  • 2 years management experience
  • Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
  • Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion

Some extended business hours.
