Position Summary
The Maintenance Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day warehousing and material control activities for a medium-sized, medium-complexity site. This role ensures accurate inventory, timely processing of requisitions, SAP/CMMS accuracy, and dependable support for maintenance and turnaround activities. The Maintenance Warehouse Supervisor leads a small team, enforces HSE and operational procedures, drives continuous improvement in warehouse layout and processes, and coordinates closely with Purchasing, Accounting, and Engineering to meet site objectives.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day warehousing and material control activities for a medium-sized, medium-complexity site. This role ensures accurate inventory, timely processing of requisitions, SAP/CMMS accuracy, and dependable support for maintenance and turnaround activities. The Maintenance Warehouse Supervisor leads a small team, enforces HSE and operational procedures, drives continuous improvement in warehouse layout and processes, and coordinates closely with Purchasing, Accounting, and Engineering to meet site objectives.
Responsibilities
Inventory & material management
- Process material requisitions daily via SAP PM and coordinate timely procurement/fulfillment.
- Perform regular cycle counts, investigate and reconcile discrepancies in SAP.
- Process and document internal stock requests from maintenance and operations; update SAP accordingly.
- Track items sent for repair and ensure timely return and status updates in SAP.
- Manage offsite storage processes (documentation, retrieval, SAP integration).
- Serve as a SAP PM / CMMS super user for warehouse and maintenance transactions; train others and troubleshoot issues.
- Enter and verify nested contractor time and other maintenance-related data in SAP.
- Generate and review monthly inventory and usage reports to support maintenance planning and cost control.
- Maintain the warehouse SharePoint site with accurate procedures, asset lists, and documentation.
- Plan, stage, and manage materials for plant turnarounds to ensure availability and traceability in SAP.
- Enforce established workflow for requisitioning, receiving, issuing, returns, and repairs.
- Provide hands-on support during high-volume periods and shutdowns.
- Supervise warehouse staff: assign work, create short-term schedules, monitor performance, coach, and take corrective action as needed.
- Provide coverage for essential warehouse duties during absences to maintain seamless operations.
- Continuously assess and optimize warehouse layout to improve safety, accessibility, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Accounting, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve discrepancies and align on material needs.
- Identify and report instances of non-compliance with company policies or regulatory codes; escalate when necessary.
- Follow and promote HSE policies, instruct team in safe methods, identify risky behaviors, and take appropriate action.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of warehouse / materials experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or lead experience.
- Demonstrated experience with SAP PM or other CMMS; comfortable as a system super user for warehouse/maintenance transactions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices (cycle counts, stock reconciliation).
- Able to work in a warehouse environment (standing, walking, lifting up to ~50 lbs) and flexible to work extra hours during turnarounds.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, creative thinking, consulting, and analytical skills.
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and sound decision-making abilities.
