Position: Electrophysiology (EP) Technician

Location: Cardiology Clinic, Winston-Salem NC

Employment Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm

This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a collaborative environment, directly impacting patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing electrophysiology procedures, including catheter insertions and mapping.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, ensuring all instruments are sterile and functional.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide support during procedures.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology program or equivalent exp.
• Two year’s experience working in a cardiac office or hospital setting, Required.
• Certification in electrophysiology or related field preferred.
• CCT or CRAT obtained in 1 yr of start date, Required.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and electrophysiology.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: Two year’s experience working in a cardiac office or hospital setting, required.
• Licensure/Certification: CCT or CRAT obtained in 1 yr of start date, required.
• Additional Skills Required: Basic knowledge of pacemaker/defibrillator function. Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to cardiology. Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets.
• Additional Skills Preferred: International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners Cardiac Device Certification preferred, strongly encouraged. Basic knowledge of holter/event recorders. Electronic medical records experience, particularly with EPIC.
