Position Type: Remote, Full-Time

Pay Range: $55,000 - $60,000

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Staff Accountant. This position will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including general ledger accounting allocation across multiple companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Accounting:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data and identify trends.

• Payroll Allocation:
• Allocate costs to appropriate companies, general ledger accounts and cost centers.
• Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to specific projects or departments.
• Reconcile payroll allocations to general ledger accounts.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
