Pay for this position is $18.07/hour. This is an Hourly position.
POSITION SUMMARY: Prepares and presents high quality food within specified time frame for patient and retail services. Properly follows safe food handling procedures. Takes customerâ€s orders and prepare the order according to recipe, keeping in mind additional customer specifications or dietary needs.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- 6 months healthcare or restaurant facility.
- Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire). Anyone hired into the Cook position at Saint Francis Medical Center (Peoria, IL) prior to 9/1/2020 is to be considered grandfathered and exempt from this requirement.
- FSSC-Food Service and Sanitation Certification
- Heart of Mary Medical Center (HMMC) &
- Motherhouse - Does not require Cooks to have FSSMC or the CFPM certifications. At these locations, cooks must have Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Know basic math skills and follow instructions.
- Must be willing and capable of working in a fast paced environment.
- Must be flexible and adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED Culinary Degree
- 2 years of experience as a cook in a healthcare facility.
