Unison Health is seeking a knowledgeable and employee-focused HR Generalist to support core Human Resources operations with a strong emphasis on benefits administration, compliance, employee support, and policy implementation. This role plays a key part in ensuring our staff receive the guidance, tools, and resources they need to thrive at work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, PTO, policies, and HR processes
- Administer employee benefits, including new hire enrollments, life event changes, and open enrollment support
- Coordinate FMLA, ADA, and other types of leave, ensuring timely communication and compliance
- Support and track tuition reimbursement, HSA contributions, and other employee programs
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in alignment with HR policies and legal requirements
- Assist in the development, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and internal standards
- Support employee engagement and wellness initiatives
- Collaborate with payroll, finance, and department leaders to ensure smooth employee experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in HR
- Working knowledge of employment law, benefits regulations, and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (UKG experience a plus)
