INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER

Position Description

You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER (Chief Engineer) in the Mission Systems Group, Avionics Engineering Department, Radar and Antenna Systems Division, and Radar Systems Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The incumbent will serve as the Chief Engineer for classified systems within the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12782166-25-AJW. Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as the Chief Engineer for classified systems within the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO).
• You will be responsible for providing overarching leadership and management of the personnel and resources within the engineering team and act as the principal.
• You will ensure integration across the development of the F-35 Air System, in close coordination with the Lead Engineers for Production and Sustainment, to include all product and functional team efforts.
• You will ensure the integrity of the Air System product to not only meet performance expectations, but also Operational Safety, Suitability and Effectiveness (OSSandE) tenets and balance these against Life Cycle Cost impacts.
• You will utilize the Functional Team, Systems Engineering Integration Teams (SEITs) and Product Teams to collect information.
• You will support the Program Manager with weekly technical staff meetings and provide status of pending and/or discovered technical issues.
• You will exercise a high degree of initiative and possess the ability to make independent decisions concerning the F-35 system.
• You will guide the Product Teams and Functional Teams on activities related to resolving design and sustaining engineering issues across the F-35 development program.
• You will maintain good working relationships with other organizations, government agencies, and industries.
