Summary/Objective
The HR Assistant acts as receptionist and assists with the day-to-day functions by maintaining the file system, HRIS, and customer service.
Essential Job Duties

- Assist employees, new hires, and HR visitors with questions or concerns via phone, email, or in person. Reception and greeting of guests and excellent customer service. Manages calls, meetings, and calendars for VP of HR. Assists with various HR projects and requests as needed.
- Is primary user of badging system - issues and replaces badges for all current employees, as well as observers, visiting clergy, contract staff, etc.
- Create and maintain files for newly hired, active, and contract employees. Ensures I-9, E-Verify, OIG, and any other government required verifications are completed for each. Break down and file terminated hospital and contract employees, and students ensuring end of year files are organized and sent to storage.
- Is the primary contact for all students in observation and interns applications, gather appropriate documentation, notify directors of their applications and makes sure student has started and completed their observation accordingly.
- Completes verification of employment forms and phone calls.
- Maintain, organize, and order supplies for HR office. Processes POs, check requests, special order requests, etc., and obtains signatures as appropriate.
