What is the Opportunity?
The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials across Water Missions' supply chain. This role manages warehouse organization, cycle counts, inventory control, order fulfillment, and facilities requests. In addition, this role is responsible for day-to-day warehouse management and supervision of volunteers and interns as they work in the production area to engage in manufacturing, order fulfillment, and facilities projects. This position also provides support for Water Mission events and advocacy engagements. The Supply Chain Coordinator must be willing to travel up to 1-2 weeks per year in support of country programs and disaster response logistics needs. This full-time position reports to the Senior Manager of Production and Logistics and is an office-based position in Charleston, SC.
A successful Supply Chain Coordinator will:
- Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, donors, charitable beneficiaries, and the public.
- Alignment with Water Mission's Statement of Faith and Core Values of Love, Excellence, and Integrity.
- Coordinate work schedule and supervise 5-15 volunteers or interns each day.
- Enhance quality control and safety procedures and incorporate these procedures into Water Missions' production and logistics practices.
- Maintain and organize inventory.
- Manage warehouse and all Charleston-based vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Provide facility and campus oversight of repairs in conjunction with the Facilities Coordinator.
- Provide quality control for the picking and packing of shipments.
- Compose international and domestic shipping documentation.
- Provide logistical support for Country Programs and Disaster Response efforts

What is required?
- Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in business management, logistics, or related field.
- Alignment with Water Mission's Statement of Faith and core values of Love, Excellence, and Integrity.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, quality control, volunteer management, and/or warehouse management.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use data to optimize decision making – preferably in the nonprofit or ministry sector.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP software (experience in NetSuite is a plus), shipping methods and standards, and the Microsoft Suite of applications.
- Forklift and aerial lift certification is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities is required.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 1-2 weeks per year in support of Disaster Response and Water Mission Country Programs.
