Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and repair issues on commercial HVAC equipment including roof top units (RTU), split systems, pumps, and controls.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections with minimal supervision.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform new equipment start-ups and logging data on start-up documentation.
- Ensure systems operate per manufacturer and code specifications.
- Mentor and support junior technicians as needed.
- Complete work orders and maintain service logs.
- Perform on-call rotation schedule.
- 3–5 years of prior commercial HVAC experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Adept at multi-tasking in fast paced environment, able to plan, prioritize, and organize individual and group activities and processes
- Able to work independently and across multiple teams and levels within and outside of the organization and take initiative on projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
- Refrigeration License Preferred
- Understanding of building automation systems (BAS) a plus.
- HVAC Certification or Associate Degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to use hand tools and operate electric and/or battery powered tools.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. at times.
- Must be able to ascend and descend step ladders and work from elevated scissor lifts and scaffolding.
