The Customer Service Rep I (CSRI) is responsible for answering the customer service, deductible billing and First Report of Injury phone lines. They are responsible for entering in First Reports of Injury and for clerical mail functions that support the claim department.

The Customer Service Rep I (CSRI) is responsible for answering the customer service, deductible billing and First Report of Injury phone lines. They are responsible for entering in First Reports of Injury and for clerical mail functions that support the claim department.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers Customer Service line and deductible billing line to assist MEMIC customers with claim department questions which may include inquiries from providers, agents, insureds and claimants.
- Responsible for mail processing from email boxes and indexing of mail in ImageRight
- Performs clerical support functions for the department which includes but is not limited to bill or claim number requests, printing, monthly, weekly and daily reports, vendor portal workflows and document processing.
- Processes incoming fax slots and serves as the primary for team fax coverage as needed.
- Enters First Report of Injury into the system including answering the First Report of Injury Phone line.
- Assists, when necessary, processing the Claim Departments mail which includes opening, sorting, prepping for scanning and indexing mail and faxes into ImageRight.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
- Speed and accuracy in typing a must.
- Strong verbal and written communication a must.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks a must.
