HOURLY RATE (DEPENDING ON SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): $21.00
SCOPE: Process and maintain medical records and correspondence in a manner consistent with current federal and state guidelines as well as in accordance with our organizations established privacy policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in organizing and directing medical records
- Scan documents/records in accordance with department guidelines
- Process release of information requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accuracy and providing quality customer service
- Ensures appropriate authorization is obtained for release of medical records
- Transcribe referrals in accordance with department guidelines
- Answers and documents information in the EMR to log completion of information requested
- Inform supervisor of any issues in retrieving medical records and/or release of information
- Perform other duties as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 1 Year of medical office experience required.
- 1 Year of experience with EMR required
