High Risk Obstetrical Consultants is looking to add a dynamic Nurse Practitioner to our team. The mid-level practitioner will provide prenatal services to our high-risk patients. The below is an overview and may not be inclusive of all responsibilities.
Position Overview
The Nurse Practitioner provides specialty appropriate patient diagnosis, treatments/procedures, education, consultation, and follow-up under the supervision of one or more physicians.

This is a position for 3 ½ - 4 ½ days per week. The candidate will be responsible for compassionately caring for pregnant women. You must also be able to devise a detailed treatment plan that will further the care and treatment of our patients.

- Assessing appropriate gestational progress
- Educating patients about pregnancy
- Eliciting comprehensive health histories
- Ordering and interpreting common laboratory and other diagnostic tests
- Prescribing medication
- Ordering immunizations
- Performing physical examinations, including pap smears, cervix checks, and cerclage removals
- Build a rapport with providers to discuss ongoing patient plans of care
- Record detailed and accurate documentation in the medical chart
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner License and BLS Certification
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two years of OB/GYN medical office experience.
- Must possess computer skills
- Must be willing to drive to multiple locations as needed
- Must be able to coordinate all office activities
- Willing to assist in coverage at our LaFollette office
