Job Title: Supervisor, Multimedia
Position Function: The Multimedia Supervisor leads the district's visual storytelling and digital content production efforts, overseeing the work of the Video Production Specialist and Web and Design Specialist. This position ensures that multimedia content, including video, web, and graphic design, aligns with district communication strategies, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines. This position provides hands-on communication expertise using a variety of tools.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
Equipment: This position requires proficiency with professional video and audio equipment, DSLR cameras, lighting kits, design and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro), and content management systems. Must always comply with USD 259 guidelines for equipment use.
Travel: Frequent in-district travel is required. Occasional out-of-district travel may be recommended.

Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Works individually and as a team to develop strategic, visual communication for the district and advise schools about parent and community communication efforts.
- Supervises and supports the Video Production Specialist and Web and Design Specialist, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development.
- Oversees the planning, production, and distribution of multimedia content, including videos, animations, graphics, and web content.
- Ensures all multimedia projects meet district branding, accessibility, and quality standards.
- Collaborates with the Strategic Communication team members and others to align multimedia efforts with district-wide communication strategies.
- Manages project timelines, reviews deliverables, and ensures deadlines are met.
- Provides creative direction and technical support for multimedia initiatives.
- Coordinates multimedia coverage of district events and initiatives.
- Reviews and approves scripts, storyboards, and design concepts.
- Researches and recommends new tools, technologies, and best practices in multimedia production.
- Assists with crisis communication and rapid-response content creation as needed.
- Serves on district committees as requested by leadership.

- Knowledge of accessibility standards and digital media best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong adherence to deadlines and ability to complete projects in a quick timelines.
Interrelations:
- Frequent contact with district personnel, school staff, vendors, and community members.
- Self-directed leader responsible for daily supervision of staff.
- Expected to interact with all internal and external customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide responsive customer service.
- Ability to work with diverse populations using diplomacy and tact.
- In order for schools to operate effectively, employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and work all scheduled hours during each designated workday, unless the employee has received approved leave.
- All employees are required to report to work dressed in a manner that reflects a positive image of USD 259 and is appropriate for their position
- Bachelor's degree in multimedia production, communications, graphic design, or a related field required, or 5 years of multimedia production and leadership experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in video editing, graphic design, and web content creation.
- Experience supervising creative teams and multimedia projects preferred.
