Therapist will provide comprehensive care to address the presenting behavioral health needs. We specialize in partnering with families to build effective relationships and to inspire hope for a positive future. This position involves working directly with children and families.
Therapist Job Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling to children and families who are experiencing a range of stressors and traumatic events. Counseling approaches are strength based and family centered. Provide psychoeducation to caregivers and system stakeholders to promote an understanding of trauma and its impact on behavior.
- Collaborating with family, team members to create recommendations for clinical services and strategies and approaches within a child's circle of relationships and life domains to support their development and promote resilience. Provide clinical recommendations to caregivers that can deploy to support a healing environment.
- Facilitating clinical meetings (establishing an agenda, setting and maintaining a strength based meeting environment, staying within timeframes, giving all team participants the opportunity to contribute, holding people accountable for their commitments and the ability to assist a team in developing a consensus) for children and families.
- Interacting professionally with other stakeholders Division of Child Safety (DCS), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), juvenile probation, Direct Service Providers (DSP), etc.)
- Performing other duties related to the position
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be BHT with two years of related behavioral health work experience and a related Master's degree. Master's degree/Licensure preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with an acceptable 39 month driving record
- Reliable transportation, including proof of Insurance
- Candidates are required to submit a negative drug test
- Obtain an Arizona DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Complete Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid training
