Shift: Monday-Friday 2nd shift 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

The physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move anywhere from 10 – 50 pounds; and occasionally more than 100 pounds with assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Troubleshoots, maintains, fabricates, supports and assists with repairs to production floor equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance on all minor and major pieces of equipment related to production/facilities.
- Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on the facility structure and surrounding grounds.
- Complies with all equipment, safety, and OSHA rules and regulations as well as current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Assist with all process improvements projects and meeting all defined production/quality standards, Company KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to include, but are not limited to safety, quality, cost and service.
- Assists in training and coaching other mechanics.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumable parts for equipment.
- Identify existing and potential operational problems and efficiencies.
- Maintain and organize the documents and procedures related to calibration, preventative maintenance and usage logbook.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

- Must have technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to perform complex start up, debugging and repairs of packaging machinery.
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions and reference materials in order to interpret and apply Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
- Must communicate effectively in order to interface with multiple internal customers and equipment vendors, contractors and others to meet project requirements.
- Must have a working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Reading, writing and speaking English clearly and concisely.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate degree or technical certifications in related field is preferred
- 5-7 years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift certification preferred
- Form, fill, and seal packaging equipment experience preferred (HMC, Bartelt, etc)
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving history
- Candidates must understand and show a working knowledge of;
- Manufacturing equipment
- Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting
- Process Controls
- Reading Schematics and Symbols
- Basic use of tools and measuring devices
