Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Legal Clerk to support our in-house legal department with legal and administrative tasks 2–3 days per week at our company headquarters. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in legal operations or pursuing a career in law, providing hands-on experience in corporate compliance, document preparation, legal research, and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, notices, and internal correspondence (training provided)
  • Conduct basic legal research on compliance-related matters.
  • Review and process invoices through SAP (training provided)
  • Respond to subpoenas, licensing requests, and compliance inquiries.
  • Support legal counsel and the licensing manager with administrative tasks such as document. organization, mailing, and data entry.
  • Maintain confidentiality and assist with special legal projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Mandarin is strongly preferred.
  • Some law school coursework or prior experience in a legal environment is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple assignments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and edit legal. correspondence, notices, and formal documents clearly and professionally.
  • Strong research skills to navigate online legal resources and summarize findings.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, efficiency, business mindset, and a willingness to learn.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.

Compensation

The pay range for this job starts at $20–$25 per hour. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
