- Remuneration Range: 91-106% ($86K - $101K annually)

Essential Job Functions
Proactive Talent Sourcing and Strategic Recruitment
- Develop recruitment strategies that are aligned to the values of Hope Channel International.
- Identify and engage highly qualified professionals whose values and expertise align with the mission of Hope Channel.
- Build and maintain relationships with church leaders, industry professionals, and relevant subject-matter experts to cultivate long-term recruitment pipelines.
- Represent HCI at key events, networks, and institutions to connect with top talent and promote missional service opportunities.
- Lead the full recruitment process by collaborating with administration to formulate job descriptions to onboarding, and orientation including spiritual and cultural alignment.
- Collaborate with HR to enhance employee commitment, development, and performance management systems.
- Develop onboarding, mentorship, and spiritual integration strategies to promote long-term alignment with HCI’s mission.
- Collaborate with the General Conference Institute of World Mission to provide missionary training to assist HCI staff to be effective in serving a global network.
- Collaborate with the Director of Network Strategies, Development, and Training to support leadership training and continuing education. Collaborate with administration to establish staff development protocols for HCI and serve as a resource to assist the Hope Channel Network entities to establish similar protocols.
- Develop and coordinate internship and volunteer programs at the HCI office and in collaboration with HR, and mission platforms such as Vivid Faith, Adventist Volunteer Service etc.
- Provide training, collaborate with supervisors to give mentorship to ensure a meaningful and spiritually enriching experience.
- Forge partnerships with Adventist universities, other denominational organizations, and supporting ministries to recruit emerging talent.
- Develop organizational guidelines and best practices for engaging freelance professionals through platforms such as Upwork, ensuring alignment with Hope Channel’s mission, brand standards, and legal requirements.
- Create onboarding frameworks and orientation materials for departments working with freelancers, promoting consistency in expectations, communication, and quality standards.
- Train HCI staff and project leads in the effective use of freelance contributors, equipping them to manage scopes of work, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with established policies.
- Provide strategic oversight of global media missionary programs to ensure alignment with Hope Channel mission and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with Division and GC Attached Territories Hope Channel Coordinators to assess regional needs and coordinate media missionary initiatives.
- Coordinate the identification, recruitment, training, and deployment of media missionaries using existing church structures and systems.
- Provide strategic leadership for recruiting, training, and caring for media missionaries serving across the Hope Channel Network.
- Establish a framework for orientation, performance, reporting, and spiritual support in collaboration with Division/GC Attached Territories HC coordinators and local network media entities.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Communications, and Global Engagement teams to align relevant resources and policies.
- Track KPIs, generate reports, and contribute to organizational strategy and culture-building initiatives.
- Coordinate regular performance evaluations at Hope Channel International.
- Collaborate with other departments to align recruitment efforts and priorities.
- Provide strategic direction for cultivating a positive, mission-driven organizational culture that enhances employee engagement and alignment.
- Design and implement culture-building programs and activities such as staff worships, team-building events, and cross-departmental initiatives that reflect HCI’s values.
- Champion internal morale-boosting efforts like “Hopey Hour,” excursions, and service-based initiatives such as HCI-led mission trips for staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to assess and evolve cultural initiatives that reinforce purpose, belonging, and productivity within a spiritually supportive work environment.
- Lead organizational change efforts to ensure healthy transitions and minimal disruption to teams and operations.
- Guide staff and leadership through change initiatives using structured frameworks that promote communication, alignment, and resiliency.
- Identify potential risks and barriers to change, recommending solutions that address organizational health and employee well-being.
- Equip teams with resources, training, and feedback mechanisms to effectively navigate transitions while maintaining mission focus.
- Support personal and professional development strategies that foster long-term commitment to HCI’s mission—even beyond employment.
- Coach and collaborate with directors to develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for their teams, from early-career employees to managers.
- Facilitate workshops and mentorship programs that prepare staff for growth, ensuring continued alignment with HCI’s mission even after their tenure.
- Organize “Alumni Staff” engagement initiatives at key events (e.g., GAiN, SAC) to maintain relationships and cultivate ongoing advocacy for Hope Channel’s cause.
- Ensure effective operational systems that support remote and in-person work environments, in compliance with best practices and legal standards.
- Oversee office operations—including remote systems and in-person protocols—to maintain an efficient, collaborative, and secure work environment.
- Advise the President and VPs on operational policy updates, aligning with industry standards, internal culture, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of policies, procedures, and compliance measures in collaboration with HR, Legal, and Finance.
- Serves on committees as assigned.
- Must be a member in regular standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Must maintain a regular and reliable work schedule
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree required. Masters in HR, Organizational Leadership or related field.
- Five or more years prior applicable experience in leadership roles involving recruitment, people management, mission coordination, or nonprofit operations.
- HR certification preferred.
- Multilingual preferred.
- Deep understanding of and commitment to the mission of the SDA Church.
- Exposure to international mission work
- Proven experience in talent sourcing, network building and managing remote contributors.
- Broad knowledge of principles, policies and beliefs of the General Conference and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Knowledge of church structure and organization.
- Knowledge and skill in appropriate methods of dealing with human behavior in various circumstances.
- Ability to mentor, coach.
- Advanced command of language skills including proficiency in verbal and written.
- Ability to perform administrative functions; develop long- and short-term plans and programs to effectively evaluate work accomplishments; establish and maintain effective relationships with internal/external personnel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/tasks a must. Ability to work under stressful time constraints in meeting deadlines essential.
