Key Job Elements
- Develops project scopes and objectives involving proper stakeholders; ensures information provided from business to develop scope is accurate;
- Coordinates resources for testing and acceptance functions; ensures resource availability and allocation;
- Develops detailed project plan to track progress; utilizes tools such as MS Project and SharePoint;
- Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools and resources; provides notifications of issues, risks and jeopardies; reports and escalates issues to management as needed;
- Uses appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, change control and notifications; identifies new project needs and prepares action plans;
- Coordinates integration and testing efforts of third party solutions;
- Develops implementation strategies to support business requirements;
- Directs support and development teams; provides support to released products;
- Evaluates technology solutions in support of business needs;
- Reports status of products to leadership;
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation; publishes and provides notes and updates on timely established schedules;
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field preferred;
- Minimum 3+ years of experience at building a Program/Project Manager on IT Data Center, Cloud, soft-ware development, or large enterprise software projects and the management of teams in support of those products;
- PMP certification preferred;
- Experience with Project Management Applications, such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word and
- Proven experience in AGILE software development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban); experience with cloud services and IT infrastructure strongly desired (Amazon Web Services a plus);
- Proven experience in strategic planning;
- Proven experience in ITIL framework for service management (incident, change and prob-lem management);
- Excellent organizational, technical leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of program and project management;
- Experience delivering large and complex software/infrastructure programs;
- Organizational skills – ability to coordinate and prioritize many issues simultaneously.
