The Business Manager is responsible for providing financial services to customers, presenting financing and leasing options, and selling aftermarket products. This candidate will work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and maximizing dealership profitability through ethical and compliant practices.

The Business Manager is responsible for providing financial services to customers, presenting financing and leasing options, and selling aftermarket products. This candidate will work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and maximizing dealership profitability through ethical and compliant practices.
Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Maintain dealership financial records, ensure accurate month-end closings, and review general ledger schedules.
- Compliance & Controls: Monitor operational income statements, conduct fraud prevention reviews, and ensure adherence to internal controls and LAD financial policies.
- Cash Flow & Banking: Oversee accounts receivable collections, daily bank postings, and bank reconciliations..
- Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with dealership leadership (especially the GM),
- Manufacturer Relations: Ensure compliance with manufacturer programs, warranty claims, and reporting requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, urgency, and communication.
- Proficiency in accounting processes, reconciliation, and financial analysis.
- Ability to interpret financial results and recommend actions.
- dealership accounting experience preferred
- Experience in team leadership and the auto industry (preferred).
- Standing and Walking: Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the dealership to interact with customers, sales staff, and other departments. This may include walking across the showroom floor, to offices, and potentially to the vehicle lot.
- Lifting: Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (e.g., boxes of forms, marketing materials).
- Sitting: Regularly required to sit for extended periods at a desk to complete paperwork, use a computer, and conduct customer interviews.
- Talking and Hearing: Constantly required to talk and hear to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and lenders in person and over the phone.
- Seeing: Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
- Reaching and Handling: Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and to handle documents, computer equipment, and other office materials.
- Repetitive Motions: Occasional repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers, such as typing and filing.
