Job Summary

The successful Shopper Insights and Analytics Manager will be the “voice of the shopper” for Carhartt. This role will partner with Carhartt’s business units and connected functions to drive new ways of thinking, providing strategic guidance, and recommended actions for how to win across key retailers and channels (online and offline). Their research expertise is in qualitative and quantitative research studies as well as syndicated data, with a focus on path-to-purchase, in-store observation/virtual shopping, and behavioral data analytics.

The Shopper Insights and Analytics Manager will build the shopper insights capability by using omnichannel shopper learning tools to drive smarter and faster decision making. They will be an expert in understanding the end-to-end shopper decision process, develop deep understanding of the shopper journey, and help bring our shoppers to life within the organization. Using data synthesized across multiple content resources, including macro trends, shopper research findings, sales data, and syndicated resources, the successful candidate will have an inherent passion for building and applying analytic approaches to problems but with a consultative bias towards action and implementation.

Associate Responsibilities

  • Support design and creative development for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners; UX, Marketing, CRM, D2C Merch, and our copywriters to create exceptional work
  • Balance multiple projects across a variety of platforms including ecommerce, email, DR, paid search, social, and owned retail
  • Support updates to the Digital Brand Style Guide as requested
  • Refine imagery – modifying color and light balance along with light retouching when needed
  • Refine video – minimal adjustments to color/contrast and edit as needed to support paid social
  • Support team growth on all levels by sharing ideas, learnings, and design trends while encouraging others to do the same
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant technologies and industry trends
  • Assist our UX team in supporting the Creative QA for your projects

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, design/visual communication, or equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Advertising portfolio school background is preferred, but not required if the candidate has a portfolio demonstrating their ability to create smart, strategic, and award-winning creative work

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an agency or client-side experience inclusive of the following:
    • 2+ years of experience in digital design systems (i.e. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.) is preferred
  • Collection of past work demonstrating strong conceptual thinking
  • Strong attention to visual detail and understanding of the creative process
  • Proficiency in design software including the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid presentation skills (experience presenting to creative directors and clients preferred)
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams – both inside and outside of the creative department
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment; office setting. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required
  • Willing to work some evenings and weekends if necessary
  • National travel required (up to 5%)
  • This position has a Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities.
