As we continue to scale, we're looking for a high-performing Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team and help steer our financial strategy and operations.

Position Summary:

As Chief Financial Officer at CommLoan, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting function, maintaining robust financial controls, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You'll play a key role in supporting strategic decisions, managing risk, and helping drive CommLoan’s continued growth. This is a high-impact leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, A/R, A/P, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Design and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
• Partner with the CEO on forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning initiatives
• Manage audits, tax filings, and all regulatory compliance (federal, state, and local)
• Oversee cash flow management and working capital optimization
• Drive automation and efficiency by improving financial systems and leveraging technology
• Support strategic initiatives including investor reporting, fundraising, and M&A due diligence
• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a VP of Finance, CFO or equivalent role
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Hands-on experience with financial systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup or growth-stage environment
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or MBA
• Background in fintech, SaaS, or financial services
• Experience with venture-backed startups
