Job Description:
The Director of Project Management oversees the successful execution of Pavlov Media’s infrastructure projects nationwide. This role leads a team of project managers and project coordinators, developing strategies, setting standards, and ensuring that all installations meet scope, budget, and timeline expectations. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual drives operational excellence, aligns project goals with company objectives, and fosters strong cross-functional collaboration across departments such as Engineering, Field Operations, Logistics, and NOC. This position offers flexibility to work onsite, hybrid or in a remote capacity. The Director of Project Management is expected to travel to our headquarters in Champaign, two to four times annually, with additional visits as needed.

The salary range for this position is: $ 115,000-$175,000/annually
Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience. Final pay will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and alignment with our internal equity standards, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization. The salary banding for this role also allows room for growth, with opportunities for pay increases within the band based on performance and contributions.

Strategic Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing project management team.
- Define and implement project management methodologies, workflows, and KPIs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align project initiatives with strategic goals.
- Forecast resource needs, identify bottlenecks, and manage project portfolio risk.
- Own the end-to-end execution of complex projects from kickoff to closeout.
- Ensure all deployments (fiber, Ethernet, or wireless) meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations.
- Review and approve project budgets, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project performance and implementing best practices.
- Act as the key liaison between Project Management and Engineering, Field Ops, Logistics, and NOC.
- Provide project visibility through standardized dashboards and executive-level reporting.
- Coordinate communication between internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and property partners.
- Ensure a seamless customer experience throughout project implementation.
- Resolve project escalations, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain high satisfaction ratings.
- Represent Pavlov Media in client meetings as a senior leader and trusted advisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years in leadership or director-level role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or telecommunications projects.
- PMP or comparable certification preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and modern project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Smartsheet).
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Willingness to travel (10-15%) as needed for site visits and stakeholder meetings.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- Adaptable and composed under pressure.
- A customer-first mindset with a drive to exceed expectations.
