Job Title: Imaging Center Manager

Salary: $80,000-$120,000 per year DOE

Location: Westminster, CA

Position Purpose: The Imaging Center Manager is responsible for all administrative duties and oversees the daily operations of a full-service Diagnostic Imaging Center. This includes operational efficiency, staff performance and schedules, and ensuring proper patient flow across all imaging modalities. These modalities include, X-ray, MRI, mammography, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, contrast studies, fluoroscopy, diagnostic radiography, amongst other specialized imaging procedures. The Manager ensures alignment of all administrative operations with the departments and organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

Core Duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and guiding principles, as well as compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage the scheduling of technologists and the coordination of patient exams/procedures; assign daily workloads accordingly.
  • Review clinical tests, records, and documentation for quality assurance; monitor workflows and processes to ensure clinical standards and patient care goals are consistently met.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of a comprehensive quality management and assurance program.
  • Supervise daily activities and performance of clinical and administrative staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and participate in formal performance evaluations.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on imaging studies to ensure diagnostic standards are met.
  • Assess and evaluate clinical and administrative processes to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness; recommend and implement improvements.
  • Enforce and monitor compliance with policies, procedures, clinical protocols, and quality standards to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards such as NCQA, MQSA, and other relevant accrediting and regulatory bodies.
  • Address and resolve patient service concerns and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure the safe and compliant use of imaging equipment and radiation-generating devices, in accordance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Administer and monitor the facility’s radiation safety program to minimize exposure risks and maintain required documentation.
  • Conduct radiation safety audits and surveys in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare timely, accurate statistical and operational reports; provide recommendations to improve resource utilization and staff productivity.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Education And Training

  • Associate’s degree in radiologic technology, diagnostic ultrasound, or a related field from an AMA-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the diagnostic imaging field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and radiation safety standards at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Experience in leading audits.

License, Certification, Registration

  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • California Radiologic Technologist Certificate
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate
  • Must have an active BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification by start date
