REPORTS TO: Closeout and Contract Manager
FLSA STATUE: Full-Time, Benefited
Position Summary:
Supervise, train, and support Sonic's closing and contract specialists while ensuring adherence to Sonic's quality standards through comprehensive documentation, training, and process refinement. This role will work closely with Sonic's Plant PMO Team to keep processes and training current and accurate, thereby upholding the highest standards in document control and facilitating the efficient closeout of applications, contracts, and purchasing support.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-Time, Hybrid (some days in office at HQ in Santa Rosa CA)
Travel:
This position will not travel.

- Responsible for all aspects of purchasing support for the Plant PMO office, including but not limited to contracts, change orders, purchase orders and respective billing.
- Oversee the closeout process and production activities.
- Handle escalations effectively.
- Manage document and record-keeping processes.
- Positively lead employees, including responsibilities for interviewing, hiring, timesheet management, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
- Swiftly implement process changes and update training materials as needed.
- Manage workflow, deadlines, and production to meet the plant's growing needs.
- Collaborate closely with the management team and contracted vendors to ensure application closeouts are completed accurately and on time, providing training as necessary.
- Serve as a resource for answering questions and resolving conflicts that arise from the field or office.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- This is a working supervisor position, and they will be expected to perform the duties of the people they supervise to ensure effective production and fill in the gaps as needed.
- Work under the direction and guidance of the manager.
- Perform additional duties and projects as requested by the manager.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Strong - Word / Excel / Google Docs / PDF editing / Outlook skills
- Experience and understanding of cost estimating and cost control, budget reporting, and record/document control
- Experience with quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) regarding contract documents
- Experience in construction project controls, cost estimating, and scheduling
- Strong knowledge of utility pole line construction and engineering including GO95 and NESC standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership experience
- Ability to trouble shoot complex problems and think of creative solutions
- Experience creating documentation/ training materials is a plus
- 3GIS knowledge a plus
