Uhana by VMware empowers mobile operators with subscriber-level, radio access network (RAN) analytics, giving them better control of their 4G & 5G networks and maximizing the quality of service they can offer their customers. Uhana correlates and enriches high volumes of streaming data from mobile network elements, in real-time, to provide unprecedented visibility. Using artificial intelligence, Uhana automatically determines the root cause of network issues and recommends remediation.


We are looking for talented software engineers to join the Uhana Platform team now part of the Telco & Edge Cloud business unit at VMware. In this role, you will architect and build frameworks to enable the engineering team to move faster with great confidence and agility. The team is composed of dedicated bright, talented technologists who are collaborating on expanding the next-generation of mobile technology. This team manages our global compute infrastructure, architects the real-time data-processing software, and builds the distributed software platform.


Responsibilities



  • Influence the reliability of delivering product, with a keen interest in Networking, Containers and SaaS.

  • Drive platform team efforts to deliver tooling and infrastructure to improve product quality.

  • Provision services and virtualized infrastructure through orchestration tools.

  • Guide engineers on SaaS development and delivery.


Skills & Requirements



  • BS or MS in Computer Science preferred with 3+ years of experience in software architecture, design and development.

  • Hands-on experience with following orchestration tools: Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Helm, Kubernetes.

  • Strong bias towards building robust systems through automation.

  • Strong coding / scripting experience in Golang, Python, Bash.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Recent experience managing SaaS infrastructure using AWS and GCP Services.

  • Admin level understanding of Ubuntu or other Linux distros.

  • Expertise with Git version control and tools implementation.

  • Good understanding of networking protocols.

  • Current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement.

  • Work with open-source technologies as needed.
