As a Software Engineer on our AR/VR teams, you will build the backend infrastructure that powers our experiences in VR and through our mobile apps. You will have the opportunity to build scalable and high performance backend systems. We are looking for candidates who share a passion for tackling complexity and building performant platforms that scale through multiple orders of magnitude.

Software Engineer, Infrastucture - Facebook Reality Labs Responsibilities

  • Design core, backend software components

Code using primarily PHP and Hack, C++, Python

Conduct design and code reviews

Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources

Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services

Build report interfaces, data feeds, monitoring and alerting

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience building large-scale server applications

5+ years coding experience in C, C++, Java, PHP

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field

Experience with PHP and C++

Experience with operating system internals, filesystems, programming language design, compilers, databases
