The Area Director of Operations, Clinical, & Patient Experience (ADO) is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Home Health providers within an area. The ADO will work closely with the Administrators and Area Patient Advocates on matters involving agency operations and sales. This position will direct special projects, collaborate with the National Support Center Directors and Administrators on development of procedures and systems to achieve delivery of client care services in conjunction with goals and financial objectives.



  • Provides support to agencies in achievement of identified clinical and operational goals

  • Ensures participation in performance improvement activities

  • Ensures effective and ongoing, on-the-job training of agency administrators/executive directors

  • Provides coaching and counseling and makes appropriate developmental and salary adjustment recommendations

  • Prepares reports to update leadership on project status, issues, achievements, etc.

  • Ensures and coordinates communications and information flows between National Support Center and operations within assigned region

  • Acts as an advocate for the Intrepid agencies and support center to improve the overall operations

  • Collaboration with the Area Patient Advocate leader on marketing, sales, and census development

  • Supporting the organization by serving as Acting Administrator/Executive Director, when needed

  • Monitors compliance with state and federal regulations and Intrepid standards, in collaboration with the VP of Operations, Compliance and People Engagment departments

  • Monitor and maintain quality products and programs which adhere to Intrepid mission and principles in all national branches

  • Coordination and communication of the budget preparation and implementation

  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement Process/OBQI

  • Ability to travel as required

  • Completes other assignments and duties as requested and assigned to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Company

  • Strong ability to be the public face of the organization, and serve as an advocate for Home Healthcare, Home Hospice and other service lines

  • Creative thinker who embraces thought leadership

  • Capable of making challenging decisions and willing to take responsibility for them.

  • Three (3) years' experience in operations management

  • Two (2) years recent multi-site home health experience

  • Baccalaureate/Master Degree is Nursing

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice

  • CPR Certification

  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
