Job Description for Advertising Purposes


The Divisional Vice President and Head of Total Rewards will be a seasoned executive with tremendous drive, intelligence and capability. She/he will be highly motivated and have the ability and desire to have real impact across the organization. The successful candidate will be a multi-dimensional thinker who operates not only on the basis of important past experiences, but in light of new approaches and developments that occur in the market.


Specifically, the Total Rewards Leader will:



  • Partnering with executive leadership to ensure that all programs support the organization's strategic objectives are competitive, cost effective and in compliance with legal requirements.

  • Lead all aspects of global compensation to ensure competitive pay programs and progressive compensation infrastructure to attract, retain and motivate employees worldwide.

  • Develop and continuously improve incentive plan design(s) that best fit with the organizational culture, priorities and business model.

  • Direct the design and development of the company's broad-based wage and salary programs and structures as well as segmented compensations strategies based on market and business conditions.

  • Direct annual market surveys; oversee all activity related to published compensation surveys throughout the year and audit survey output, market trends and competitive pay positions to ensure.

  • PTC's salary plans meet overall company goals and objectives.

  • Work closely with Finance, CHRO, and other appropriate stakeholders on annual performance targets and funding

  • Ensure compensation compliance activities are completed and processes and tools are effective and streamlined.

  • Design and manage effective company recognition programs.

  • Oversee and manage the design, implementation and administration of all health and welfare benefit programs across numerous countries

  • Continuously monitor activities across all areas of benefits and wellness to ensure our understanding of our competitiveness and evolve it over time to meet the changing landscape of total rewards.

  • Routinely assess cost effective, competitive, benefits position relative to the market

  • Ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Manage all aspects of equity design and administration; ensure timely reporting, filings and all required regulatory compliance

  • Responsible for the plan documents, plan design, implementation, administration and compliance of equity programs, including the company's Employee Stock Purchase Program

  • Forecast, manage and report on ongoing share utilization and stock compensation

  • Provide leadership oversight for Executive Compensation

  • Contribute to the preparation of the company's annual proxy; responsible for the development of the Compensation Discussion and Analysis, and related tables

  • Responsible for ensuring PTC's compensation and benefits plans comply with country, state and local laws and regulations; partner with Finance and legal organizations on SEC filing related matters

  • The candidate must demonstrate the enthusiasm, relationships, influencing skills, presence, and the confidence necessary to secure commitment and to lead the implementation of sophisticated programs and activities.

Skills & Experience:



  • Experience in incentive plan design, and equity strategy and equity plan design a must.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills as evidences by a proven track record of attracting, developing and retaining a highly talented team.

  • A history of successful interaction and influence with all levels of stakeholders, including Stockholders, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, CEO, CFO and other senior executives.

  • This leader will be a pro-active, forward thinker, collaborative individual who makes appropriate, data-driven decisions; will have sound judgment and be able to drive innovation that leads to very high quality, highly effective global rewards programs, policies and procedures.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Ideally, a minimum of 15 years of diverse global compensation and benefits experience in a software technology or IT consulting services environment.
