Job Summary

The Primary Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant are to ensure proper policies, procedures and internal controls over the Company's business processes that drive Revenue and ensure all Revenue is properly recognized in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as Revenue accounting expert for Sales and FP&A during the contract negotiation process by analyzing the impact of non-standard contract terms, communicating the revenue impact of such terms, and offering alternative structures

  • Review new and existing revenue contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition is applied

  • Ensure revenue transactions are properly recorded with related balance sheet accounts reconciled.

  • Perform research and draft technical accounting memos

  • Implement revenue recognition reporting and process improvements based upon industry trends, authoritative literature and business objectives

  • Assist in monitoring relevant IFRS, US GAAP and SEC developments to ensure revenue recognition policies and procedures are in compliance with current standards

  • Develop and implement system modifications and policies for compliance with recognition guidance

  • Support the annual audit and quarterly reviews, provide supporting analysis and technical accounting memos

  • Provide revenue recognition training sessions and keep business partners abreast of developments in accounting and revenue recognition in particular

  • Provide support to any special and ad‐hoc projects and drive automation of processes


  • BS or BA in Accounting

  • CPA Preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' financial experience

  • Public accounting experience preferred

  • Software revenue recognition experience preferred


  • Technical accounting background with knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, FASB codification and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research and preparation of accounting memorandums

  • Ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate complex accounting and reporting issues to finance and non‐finance personnel

  • Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, multi‐task efficiently and manage individuals

  • Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity
