Corporate Director of Marketing for a nonprofit, faith based Senior Living Corporation serving over 2,200 clients and employing over 1,300 co-workers in 2 states at 5 locations. Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' senior living experience in a marketing management position and managed care contracts.

JOB SUMMARY:


Provides Corporate support to the marketing, admissions and sales functions to develop strategies to obtain full occupancy, appropriate payor mix and achieving financial goals for all service levels. Responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining key referral source relationships and reviews contracts. Oversees the Corporation's overall marketing and communications material in promoting and maintaining a positive brand.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




  1. Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information.




  2. Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.




  3. Establishes strong, effective external relationships with community-based entities as they relate to referral development, admissions and potential "partnership" programs and services.




  4. Works with the Admissions and Social Services to plan and communicate census development while identifying, developing and maintaining key hospital and third party referral sources; creating market visibility through positioning and identifying community needs and trends.




  5. Provides new business development with the goal of achieving and sustaining census and payor mix goals outlined in the annual business plan.




  6. Provides admissions/census improvement leadership at the management team level to optimize appropriate use of services and resources.




  7. Works closely with facility staff to coordinate all facility marketing efforts, news releases, social media posts and Fireside.




  8. Evaluates methods for program performance improvement and niche marketing products based on data collection.




  9. Oversees the performance of comprehensive competitive analysis at least once per year, summarizing recommendations in a report to senior management. Provides management with written recommendations regarding necessary marketing communication materials, programs and/or promotional initiatives, based on external referral development work, customer and competitor knowledge.




  10. Provides in-service education on managed care, local health care trends, competitors and customer service excellence.



  11. Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS:




  1. A Bachelor's degree in health or business related discipline, including nursing, rehabilitation therapy, medical marketing, and/or sales or new business development.




  2. A strong background in managed care, sales and marketing, as well as, demonstrated ability to understand and discuss clinical scenarios with clinicians.




  3. Knowledge of professional marketing sales standards and techniques.




  4. A minimum of five years' relevant work experience is required, preferably in a business development position in senior living marketing and sales.




  5. Understands and is conversant in Website and social media.




  6. Understands management, delegation and motivational concepts.




  7. Possesses a strong sense of organization and the ability to achieve deadlines. Ability to organize and prioritize work and take initiative in identifying best practices to be implemented.




  8. Proficient in communication skills in written, verbal, public speaking, letter and proposal writing, and ability to interface with diverse populations.



  9. Ability to perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined to establish priorities, initiate communications, schedule site visits, write reports, and develop tools.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


This position would include responsibilities of leadership in going to each of the Homewood sites. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires extensive work using a computer. This position has physical and mental aspects of sedentary work in which lifting requirements are minimal. Occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or operate computers, objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
