Cyber Security Specialist

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Design, develop, and implement realistic cyber scenarios for military campaign simulations and academic training environments.

• Engineer adversary emulation infrastructure, scripted attack workflows, and technical exercise injects.

• Create custom tooling, automation, and lightweight applications to support cyber training objectives.

• Translate real-world cyber threats and offensive techniques into technically accurate training scenarios.

• Develop hands-on technical content supporting malware analysis, penetration testing, network defense, and incident response exercises.

• Support exercise execution through technical integration, adversary operations, and post-event analysis.

What You'll Need

• High School diploma with 6-9 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, cyber operations, or related technical fields.

• Experience developing scripts and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker) and networking concepts.

• Understanding of offensive and defensive cybersecurity concepts.

• Ability to troubleshoot and integrate technical systems within training environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt technical solutions.
