Junior Business Intelligence Analyst - Internship

Job Summary:

Phillips & Cohen Associates, Ltd. is seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Business Intelligence Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this entry-level role, you will support the BI team in transforming data into actionable insights, generating reports, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from various business sources to support decision-making.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau, ensuring clarity and consistency.

• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and ensure the integrity of the data.

• Utilize SAS for extract, clean, and analyze data to derive insights, generate reports and support business needs.

• Work closely with senior BI analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements to deliver actionable insights.

• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data across reports and dashboards.

• Support ad-hoc data requests and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science or 1 to 2 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of SQL, SAS coding experience.

• Basic knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau.

Preferred:

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.

• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools to create dashboards and reports.

• Hands-on experience with SAS for data analysis and reporting.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and an ability to work with large datasets.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
