Position Description
Work Schedule: Flexi, Irregular - Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; Candidate will need to work some weekends at 6:20am; holiday coverage is also needed
Work Location: OBGYN Reproductive Endocrinology Clinic, Women and Infants Center
Under general supervision, to provide and manage patient care. To deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation including, but not limited to, interviewing, obtaining physicals, providing patient education, determining initial diagnosis and documentation. To effectively interact with patient, significant others and other healthcare team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. To respond to the unique needs of all patients ages newborn through geriatric.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree in Nursing required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred: ACLS. One year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in same specialty.
License, Certification And/Or Registration
Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment required.

Must be able to: (1) perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure; (2) accept responsibility for the direction, control and planning of an one’s own work; (3) work independently; (4) recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality; (5) convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress and/or grief; (6) relate to others in a manner which creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation; (7) communicate effectively with people from every socioeconomic, cultural and educational background; (8) exhibit flexibility and cope effectively in an ever-changing, fast-paced healthcare environment; (9) perform effectively when confronted with emergency, critical, unusual or dangerous situations; (10) demonstrate the quality work ethic of doing the right thing the right way; and (11) maintain a customer focus and strives to satisfy the customer's perceived needs.
